Licences and disclosures
Who I'm licensed by, how I'm paid, and what the calculators on this site can and can't tell you.
Licences
Andrew Flitton is licensed in British Columbia to sell life insurance and accident and sickness insurance.
Investments
I help families invest for the long term in two ways.
Through my insurance licence, I set up segregated funds: investment funds issued by insurance companies, with a guarantee on part or all of what you put in and a beneficiary you name.
For stocks, ETFs and mutual funds, I set you up with a partner investment firm and stay involved from there. I keep an eye on your account as part of your overall plan and go over it with you at every check-in. The partner firm is licensed to advise on these investments, holds your account and is responsible for its own advice. If I'm paid anything for a referral, I'll tell you before you open an account.
How I'm paid
The planning conversations are free. If you put insurance in place, the insurance company pays me a commission. You don't pay anything extra for working with me, and I'm happy to tell you how I'm paid on any recommendation.
Calculators
The calculators on this website give educational estimates based on what you enter and the assumptions shown. They aren't guaranteed to be accurate or complete, and they aren't financial, tax, legal or investment advice. For advice that fits your situation, book a call.
Tax and legal matters
I'm not a lawyer or an accountant. Where your plan involves tax or legal questions, I'll suggest you confirm them with a qualified professional.
